Dr. Muhammad Aamir Khan is a Tenured Associate Professor in Department of Economics, COMSATS University Islamabad. Khan holds a Doctorate in Agricultural Economics. Prior to joining COMSATS in 2015, he worked as a researcher at Department of Agricultural Economics, McGill University, Canada. At McGill, he worked on Global Computable General Equilibrium Models primarily linked with Poverty and Income inequality.  His research and teaching interest are in International Economics, Energy Economics, Environmental and Agricultural Economics. He has received number of International Fellowships and Grants from World Bank, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (UNESCAP), WTO Chair Program, Korea Institute for International Economics Policy (KIEP), International Input Output Association (IIOA), Pan Pacific Association of Input Output Studies (PPAIOS) and other multi-lateral funding agencies in Pakistan. 

Dr. Khan has expertise in tools such as GEMPAK, GAMS, R and is skilled in economic analysis using Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) and simulation modeling. He has participated in a number of International Trainings/workshops on Input-Output and CGE Models in USA, Canada, South Korea, Thailand, UK and Mexico. Dr. Khan is an HEC Approved Supervisor.
