Biography:

Dr. Muhammad Nawaz has been working as a Tenured Associate Professor of English at the Department of Humanities, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) Campus, Islamabad. He joined the CUI in 2015 as an Assistant Professor (TTS). He did his Ph.D. in Phonetics and Phonology in 2014 from the International Islamic University Islamabad. He conducted his research at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, the U.K. He employed advanced articulatory and acoustic phonetics approaches and applied theoretical frameworks such as onset-rhyme theory, maximal onset principles, and sonority sequence principles. Dr. Nawaz has taught various linguistic courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. His expertise includes phonetics and phonology, applied linguistics, pragmatics, and discourse analysis. His dedication to teaching and mentorship is evident in his supervision of over 30 MS English students on various research topics. He has more than 15 publications in recognized academic journals. Dr. Muhammad Nawaz's passion for linguistics, commitment to academic excellence, and groundbreaking research documenting an unexplored language have left an indelible mark on linguistics.
