Biography:

Muhammad Sohail Khan holds a Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA. He earned his Ed.M. (HRD) from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and MSc. Management from Surrey Business School, UK. He also holds MSc (Software Engineering) and B.S (CS) from International Islamic University Pakistan. His research interests include (1) impact of employees’ developmental opportunities on employees’ work related attitudes; 2) talent development practices 3) cross-cultural management; 4) learning design & technology; 5) the efficacy of MOOCs in academic/nonacademic institutions. He worked on multiple research projects in the areas of educational policies and technology integration, project-based learning, service learning, competency based learning and digital literacy. He presented in several International Conferences. As a Senior Instructional Designer Assistant in Gies College of Business in University of Illinois he was involved in the designing and development of MOOC-based courses in iMBA. He was also involved in designing and development of for online, blended and flipped courses. Currently he is working as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in COMSATS University Islamabad where he is working on projects related to Career Development Center, and Student Startup Business Center. He is also a member of planning committee facilitating Ministry of Education and Professional Training on projects related to e-learning and e-education related projects. He is a recipient of several prestigious national and international fellowships including the Caterpillar Corporation Award for Outstanding Academic Accomplishments and MuKeun Lee Dissertation Scholarship for Outstanding Dissertation in HRD and/or workplace learning. He is a member of Academy of Human Resources Development (AHRD), and American Society for Training & Development (ASTD).
