Dr. Tallha Akram is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Wah Cantt. He has completed his BS (Computer Engineering) from CIIT Abbottabad in 2006 and MS in Embedded systems and Control Engineering from university of Leicester, UK in 2008. He received his PhD degree from Chongqing University in 2014. He is associated with ECE department, CIIT Wah since March 2006. His research interests include pattern recognition and machine learning for computer vision applications, implementation of evolutionary algorithms on real world applications and Artificial intelligence. He was the recipient of full scholarship from Ministry of Science and Technology in 2002 – 2006. He won scholarship from HEC in 2006 to pursue his post graduate studies. He also got scholarship from Chinese Government in 2011 for his doctorate studies. He worked as research associate in Rockwell Automations in 2013. He is an author of a number of peer reviewed journals and conferences. He is also serving as a reviewer for various renowned journals.
