Biography:

Ehsan Ullah Munir received his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Barani Institute of Information Technology, Pakistan, in 2001. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Software & Theory at the Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2008. Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at COMSATS University Islamabad, Wah Campus.

Dr. Munir is the Principal Investigator (PI) of an Erasmus+ funded project (https://safe-rh.eu/). He served as the Chairman of the Department of Computer Science for three years and as the Head of the Department for eight years. Additionally, he acted as the Focal Person for ORIC (Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization) for two years. He has published numerous papers in reputable conferences and journals and is a program evaluator for the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC). For the past nine years, he has been the Technical Program Committee Chair for the International Conference on Frontiers of Information Technology (FIT). He is also a Senior Member of IEEE.

His research interests include heterogeneous parallel and distributed computing, wired and wireless networks, and information retrieval.

Professor of Computer Science, CUI Wah Campus
