Dr. Zahra Jabeen is working as a Tenured
Associate Professor at the Department of Biosciences, COMSATS University
Islamabad, Pakistan. She holds degree of doctorate in Crop Science (Molecular
Agrobiology) from the Institute of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Zhejiang
University, Hangzhou, P.R. China. Her research lies in crop molecular and
physiological responses to abiotic stresses (salinity, drought, temperature,
and heavy metals). Dr. Zahra's research focuses on developing climate-resilient
crops through an integrated approach, combining molecular, genetic, and
physiological techniques to enhance abiotic stress tolerance in cereals and
legumes. The aim is to create sustainable, cost-effective, non-toxic, and
biodegradable solutions. During her professional career, she has presented her
research work in the form of oral and/or poster presentations at international
conferences in culturally diverse countries including China, USA, UAE, France,
and Kazakhstan. She has published over 50 research articles in SCI journals and
serves as a reviewer for several international journals. As a Principal
Investigator or Co-PI, she has successfully completed three research projects
and has supervised several undergraduate and graduate students.
