Biography:

Dr. Ambreen Shahnaz has joined COMSATS University Islamabad Campus on February 6, 2007 as a Lecturer in Management Sciences Department. She has obtained her PhD (English Linguistics) from Fatima Jinnah Women University as HEC scholar. She won gold medal and HEC scholarship in M.Phil. from Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi, Pakistan. She has many publications in different impact factor/ISI index/ HEC recognized journals since her induction in COMSATS. She has presented her research work in many national and international conferences. She also won travel grant to present her research work in Malaysia. Dr. Ambreen Shahnaz has a vast experience in Teaching, Research and Educational Planning. Her areas of interest are, Gender and Language, ELT, discourse and Higher Education Policies, Genre Analysis, Critical Discourse Analysis, Corpus Linguistics and Bilingualism. Besides her core responsibility, she also participates in additional campus as well departmental activities. She is a Member of Sports Committee, Member Internship Committee, Member ISO Committee, Member BizzBuzz Committee, Class Counsellor and Member Asynchronous Mode Teaching Review Committee.
