Biography:

Muhammad Shahid Iqbal holds MS degree in General management from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Islamabad. He is now enrolled in Ph. D program in the Department of Management Sciences, CIIT Islamabad and working on dissertation. He did his masters in Economics (MSc) from Quaid-i-Azam in 1992. He joined Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) as Research Assistant from September 16, 1992 to July 15, 1993 for the study on “Effective Protection Structure of Pakistan” and from September 1993- December 1994 for the study on “Drug Abuse in Pakistan”. He joined College of Professional Studies (CPS) as Academics Coordinator in 1994 and then promoted as Principal in 1998 and worked there till 2005. In this capacity, he has made very significant contributions towards the development of a strong Management Sciences and Computer Sciences programs at CPS. As Principal, he was responsible for strategic planning / implementation of strategies at college level and Overall administration of all departments. During this period he did his Master in Business Administration (MBA) in 2000 from Al Khair University AJK. He taught a number of courses at both undergraduate and graduate level. He also served as Visiting Faculty Member in different educational institutions including Margalla Institute of Technology affiliated with Baqai University Karachi, College of Business Administration study center of Allama Iqbal Open University, Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education, Islamabad Campus, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, H-8, Islamabad, Arid Agricultural University, Rawalpindi and Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology, Islamabad. He has been worked as Program Officer at Department of Management Sciences Department, CIIT Islamabad from 2005 to 2010. After completion his MS in General Management he was selected as lecturer in the department of Management Sciences in 2010. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor at Department of Management Sciences, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan.
