Dr. Syeda H. Benish Ali is working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Biosciences, COMSATS University Islamabad, Islamabad, Pakistan. She has also worked as Fulbright Scholar at Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami, Miami, Florida, USA.
Her primary research area is Human Molecular Genetics. In the field of Molecular Genetics, Dr. Ali’s research focus is identification of genetic factors associated with human diseases. She has identified novel associations of genetic factors in susceptibility to human urothelial bladder cancer during her PhD.
Dr. Ali has also worked in the field of Environmental Science with emphasis on the impacts of climate change on vulnerable hydrological ecosystems in Pakistan including weather trends in the upper Indus basin: in Karakoram and Western Himalayan glaciers.
