Biography:

Dr. Muhammad Irfan Chani is HEC approved PhD supervisor.  Dr. Chani joined Department of Management Sciences, CIIT as an Assistant Professor of Economics in August, 2015. He earned PhD and M.Phil. degrees in Applied Economics from National College of Business Administration and Economics, Lahore, and MBA degree from International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad, Pakistan. Before Joining CIIT, Dr. Chani worked as Head of Department and Assistant Professor at Department of Economics, University of Lahore (UOL), Pakpattan and Lecturer in Economics and Research Fellow at National College of Business Administration and Economics (NCBA&E), Lahore. He received Meritorious Service Award in 2011 from NCBA&E for his research performance. Dr. Chani delivered lecture at National School of Public Policy (NSPP) in National Management Course offered by the National Management College (NMC), Lahore. He has worked on research projects, published various research articles on economic issues in reputed national and international journals and participated in a number of national research conferences and seminars and presented his research papers. His work is widely cited by research community. His research is focused on developmental issues like fertility, human capital, poverty, inequality and gender empowerment. His work is widely cited by research community.
