Biography:

Dr. Asif Waheed, born in Rawalpindi, has 22 years of meritorious services in academics and research. After Graduation from Punjab University in 2001, he joined Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology (PINSTECH). There, he took part in R & D activities for about 5 years. Then he was awarded with indigenous scholarship for pursuing higher education in 2006 by HEC Pakistan. He completed his Ph.D (Mathematics) from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) in 2012. He had privileged with the Research Productivity Award by COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad in three consecutive years from 2008 to 2011. He had also honored with the Research Productivity Award in two consecutive years 2011 and 2012 by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST), Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST). After completion of his Ph.D, he had joined HITEC University as Assistant Professor in 2012. In 2015, he joined COMSATS University Islamabad, Attock Campus as a Assistant Professor on TTS. He has promoted to Tenured Associate Professor in 2021. He has been assigned duties of HoD Mathematics Department at CUI Attock Campus in January 2025. Along with teaching and research he has supervised sixty projects and theses at undergraduate and graduate level. He has been convened and contributes in forty committees at campus and department level and also contributed in many tasks assigned time to time by the campus. In his work, he has developed some new analytic techniques for solving nonlinear higher order boundary value, initial value, parametric boundary value, system of boundary value and system of obstacle boundary value problems which arise in the study of diverse branches of science and engineering. Dr. Asif has published 48 research papers in most prestigious international journals of Elsevier, Hindawi, MDPI and Springer etc. His research work has been cited even more than 1100 times in various international research publications up till now with h-index 21.
