Biography:

Dr. Adnan Tahir is serving COMSATS University Islamabad, Sahiwal Campus Since, 2015. He has completed his Ph.D. from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China in 2022. He focuses, in particular, on the applications of Bioinformatics towards potential novel hits and other therapeutics alternatives including inhibitory peptides and epitope-based vaccines against neurodegenerative disorders, cancer, and viral targets. His efforts in the field of comparative genomics to discover and characterize the novel bacteriophages and long noncoding RNAs are also noteworthy.

He earned his master's in philosophy (M.Phil.) with a distinction (Gold Medalist) from International Islamic University Islamabad, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has authored/co-authored around twenty-six (26) research/review articles (~70 IF) in peer-reviewed journals and two (02) complete books. He was awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship in 2017 and later honored with Distinguished International Student in BIT 2019.
