Biography:

Samreen’s works deliriously till early hours of the morning. The way she’s been right from the start. And who’d earned her MFA and postgraduate diploma in miniature painting, from Punjab University. Presently serving as Assistant Professor in the Dept of Arch and Design, CIIT, Comsats, Islamabad. She has done five (05) Solo shows and 24 Group shows nationally and internationally . So, the power that the artist has is something that’s been there since the day she was born. Which has everything to do with who she is today. A contemporary artist, enamored with our past and who we are. Though her work’s about her moods, for which she’s been praised like anything. Till something else made her think different, and helped her get to the newness that was now needed .Paved the way for the next exhibition. And the reason why she’s stronger and knows herself better. Just one person in a world that teems with billions .Many of whom have already achieved the kind of greatness that lasts a lifetime. Legends, and no less. And with all that they’ve had to endure. Still, she could follow in their footsteps. If she has the guts to do just that. And if it’s written in the sky, somewhere.
