Biography:

Dr. Hassaan Mehboob Awan is Assistant Professor at the Department of Biosciences, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Pakistan. He obtained his BS degree in Bioinformatics from erstwhile CIIT, Islamabad. M.Phil in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from QAU, Islamabad, and Ph.D. in Biology from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Under the guidance of Professor Shan Ge, he authored/co-authored five publications during Ph.D., all related to RNA Biology and published in reputable journals such as RNA Biology, International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of USA, etc. With over 6 years of teaching experience, Dr. Hassaan has supervised several students of biosciences and bioinformatics background. With 9 publications in international journals, his cumulative impact factor is 37.6 (citations 260, h-index of 7). He is actively involved in exploring the expression of noncoding RNAs in cancers and exploring the potential of nanoparticles for use as point-of-use devices.
