Biography:

I am Dr.Ramla and currently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Bio sciences CIIT Islamabad. My area of interests are Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry and Chemical Biology. Currently I am working on Molecular and Genetic aspects of Osteoporosis to help understand the local and genetic factors of Pakistani population. I am also interested in induced Pluripotent Stem cells. Presently we are looking for chemical stimulus which we can use to induce pluripotency in mature cells.I am also investigating the role of Quadruplexes ( Nucleic acids secondary structures)in gene expression with special emphasis on Cancer. At the moment my group consists of one Phd and On BS student.
