Dr. Safia Zahid has completed her PhD degree under the supervision of Dr. Tariq Yasin from Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences Islamabad (PIEAS) in the subject of environmental Chemistry in 2014. She joined CUI as Assistant Professor in 2015. Her research interests are to study the environmental remediation, water purification from heavy metal, dyes and other effluent . During her PhD, she had visited Laboratoire de Chimie Moléculaire et Environnement, Université de Savoie Campus Scientifique - Savoie Technolac, Le Bourget-du-Lac, 73376, France and work under the supervision of Prof. Laurent Duclaux.
