Master of Science in Economics

Program Overview

The program is intended to develop skills in economic theories and principles and the mathematical and statistical tools required to carry out research and complex analyses. The program is designed to provide quality education with a focus on research and to equip students with the art of living as productive members of society, contributing to the socio-economic uplift of Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Maximum number of scholarships in each semester is 15.
  • The duration of scholarship is 4 semesters (maximum). After 4 semesters student has to pay full dues of the semester including tuition fee.
  • The minimum eligibility criteria for MS Economics program is:
    • Minimum 75% marks in relevant sixteen years of education in annual system.
    • OR
    • Minimum 3.5 CGPA in BS or equivalent in semester system.
  • Awardee is required to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.00, and no “C” grade or below in any course in any semester.
  • If CGPA falls below 3.00, or a “C” or lower grade is obtained in a course in a semester, the scholarship will be suspended. The resumption of scholarship will require re-obtaining a minimum CGPA of 3.00 with no “C” or lower grade in next semester.
  • Awardee is required to pay allied charges in each semester. All charges other than tuition fee fall in this category.
