Who We Are?

The department of computer science was established in December 2008, in response to the up-and-coming needs to prepare IT Professionals of tomorrow for software industry. It has fulfilled the long felt need of quality education in computing, especially in the southern core of the Punjab Province. CS Department has launched two successful bachelor programs with the tag Bachelors of Science in Computer Science (BSCS), Bachelors of Science in Software Engineering (BSSE)and Bachelors of Science in Telecommunication and Networking (BSTN). These degree programs mainly focus on advance learning.

Message from the HoD

Welcome and Its pleasure for me to introduce Department of Computer Science COMSATS university Islamabad, Sahiwal Campus. Department of Computer Science was established in 2008. The Department seeks to combine excellence in education with service to the industry. Our vision is to be recognized as innovative and leading Computer Science Department under the guidance of the Higher Education Commission and Ministry of Science and Technology that help us keep up-to-date with new policy initiatives and market driven incentives being unrolled by the government and private sectors. Our goal is to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to serve a variety of societal needs. In our department students are nurtured to become best software professionals as Project Managers, System Analysts or Team leaders in Industry or become Entrepreneurs in their own innovative way. I am confident that the students of the department would justify the credibility of the department by showing a high level of professional competence in their respective field.
