The Department of Management Sciences successfully organized a one-day career counselling workshop titled “The Launch Pad” on December 3, 2025. The workshop was conducted by the department’s faculty team under the leadership of Dr. Majid Jamal Khan, Associate Professor, and was attended by 35 outgoing students.
The workshop aimed to equip graduating students with essential skills and practical insights to ensure a smooth transition from academic life to professional careers, while also preparing them to adapt and excel in workplace environments. The program featured a series of interactive sessions and activities delivered by distinguished alumni and industry professionals.
The invited speakers included Mr. Rafay Hassan Khan, Corporate HR Executive at Nayatel, Islamabad, and Ms. Duaa Niaz, SHRM-CP, HR Business Partner and Talent & Culture Strategist for One-Network, FWO, and AMT-TSG Group, Islamabad. Both speakers shared valuable industry perspectives and practical guidance based on their professional experiences.
Key activities of the workshop included self-assessment exercises, team-building activities, CV and cover letter preparation, and effective job-hunting strategies. A notable highlight of the event was a panel discussion on job interviews, followed by mock interview sessions, where students received constructive feedback and improvement suggestions from the industry experts.
The closing ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Samina Nawab, who appreciated the efforts of The Launch Pad team and the contributing alumni and industry experts. She encouraged the students to remain focused and proactive in their future careers. The ceremony was also attended by the Head of the Department of Management Sciences, faculty members, and university officials.
