Islamabad, September 4, 2025 — COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) had the honor of hosting His Excellency Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbash, Advisor to the President of Palestine on Religious Affairs, Chief Justice of the Shariat Court, and Imam of Masjid Al-Aqsa, for a special talk on “Gaza and Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH).” He was accompanied by H.E. Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamadallah Zaid, Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan, and other distinguished guests.

The delegation was warmly received by Rector CUI, Prof. Dr. Sajid Qamar, and senior officials. Discussions centered on academic cooperation, teacher training for Palestinian educators, and solidarity with Palestine, particularly during the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal.

In his remarks, Dr. Al-Habbash highlighted the resilience of the Palestinian people and the urgent need to rebuild Gaza’s education system. He extended gratitude to Pakistan for its steadfast support. Ambassador Dr. Zuhair Zaid also addressed faculty, students, and Palestinian scholars, urging them to excel academically and serve their homeland and the Muslim Ummah.

The event concluded with prayers for peace, justice, and the liberation of Palestine.
