One day CPD seminar "Impact of Machine Learning in the Field of Civil Engineering" was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering on October 13, 2022. The guest speaker, Dr. Muhammad Faisal Javaid, Head, Civil Engineering Department from COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus delivered seminar. The speaker has an experience of over 10 years in the structural modeling, analysis and design of buildings and other structures.

The speaker delivered the key features of application of machine learning and models of performance- based evaluation to build facilities under extreme loads. He shared real case studies and explained solutions of practical issues by using ML Techniques and demonstrated GeneXpro Tool 5.0 application. He also discussed the approaches involved to predict and understand the materials behaviors. At the end the CUI Wah Campus souvenir was presented to the guest speaker with the vote of thanks by the Head, Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Tahir Mehmood.
