Role Description:
This role is responsible for the design, development and implementation of data warehouse solutions for company-wide applications based on the Teradata Solutions Methodology. The candidate will be expected to analyze complex customer requirements and work with data warehouse architect to gather, define and document data transformation rules and its implementation.
Keys Areas of Responsibility
- Write and optimize complex SQL and shell scripts
- ETL development using native and 3rd party tools and utilities
- Design and develop procedures for the integration of data warehouse solutions in an operative IT environment.
- Create and maintain technical documentation that is required in supporting solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- B.S./M.S. in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems
- Database development and SQL experience of at least 2 years
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong RDBMS concepts and SQL development skills
- Knowledge of data modeling and mapping (Preferred)
- Good Data warehouse & ETL concepts (Preferred)
- Hands-on experience of EDW development especially in ETL area (Highly Preferred)
- Understanding of one or more business areas and industries: Telecom, Retail, Manufacturing, Financial etc. (Preferred)
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills

Role Description:
The Testing and Quality Assurance team (QA) provides services in the area of DWH test strategy development, planning and execution of test cases at all stages of data warehouse development. The Testing Consultant designs the test strategy, prepares test plans, perform test resource planning, participates in code reviews, creates or configures the test environment, creates or procures the test data, writes the SQL scripts that will execute the tests, executes test cases, records test case results, documents and tracks defects, and performs test coverage analysis. To fulfill this role the Testing Consultant must develop tests that identify defects as precisely as possible. The objective is to obtain as much test coverage as possible with a minimum set of test cases and repeated rework and retest. The Testing Consultant may be the Lead Consultant on a project.

- Establish expected results based on acceptance criteria and test data for test cases.
- Introduce, optimize, or adopt supporting processes like defect management and configuration management to capture and manage defects, fixes, regression test cycles, and data reloads.
- Create, install, optimize, and administrate the testing environment.
- Create customized or tool generated test scripts to execute and automate test plans.
- Execute the test scripts and test plans and record results.
- Create and communicate test reports, status, and testing information to the project team and Project Manager.
