Who We Are?

The Department of Mathematics is the pride and joy of CU Islamabad. It boasts a highly-qualified and distinguished faculty, and is a center for excellent research and analysis.

Initially established in 2001, the Department started a four-year BS Mathematics program in Fall 2002 at the Islamabad Campus. An MS leading to Ph.D. program in Mathematics was started in Fall 2004.

The Department of Mathematics COMSATS University Islamabad, Islamabad Campus has been well-known for its strength, and its history. Since its establishment, many outstanding mathematicians have worked here. The mathematics department of CU, Islamabad always has a leading position at home and has been famous abroad for its academic effects, especially in the areas of Computational Fluid Dynamics, fluid mechanics, numerical simulations, differential equations, and dynamic systems, number theory, and scientific computing.
