Biography:
With over 8 years of dedicated experience in information technology and leadership roles, I currently serve as the In-Charge of the IT Center at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI). In this capacity, I oversee the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of comprehensive IT solutions that empower faculty, staff, and students across multiple campuses.
Role & Responsibilities

Lead and manage all day-to-day operations of the IT Center, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of IT infrastructure, systems, and services.

Coordinate the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of web applications and portals — the IT Center supports over 200 websites/portals to serve the university’s needs.

Oversee mobile application development, delivering end-to-end solutions from ideation through deployment.

Lead system services & administration — managing servers, backups, security, scripting, and service continuity.

Ensure robust networking services, including LAN, WLAN, VPN, and unified communication systems — critical for maintaining seamless connectivity across the campus.

Facilitate video conferencing services and collaboration platforms, enabling virtual communication and remote learning capabilities.

Spearhead IT trainings and consultancy — advising internal stakeholders, delivering workshops, and aligning technology initiatives with institutional goals.

Guide the development and rollout of key software products such as the Electronic File Tracking System, Biometric Attendance Monitoring, and Online Admissions System.

Plan and execute expansion projects, including upcoming assets like a Car Parking Management System, Assets Management System, and Meeting Scheduling System.

The IT Center at CUI was founded in 2008 to provide reliable and forward-looking IT services to the university community. Our mission is to deliver innovative technological solutions that add value, streamline operations, and set benchmarks in unified communications.
Under my guidance, the IT Center continues to evolve — maintaining a commitment to service excellence, user satisfaction, and operational resilience. We strive to make our infrastructure, platforms, and digital initiatives a national and international reference for higher education institutions.
